2. Free Optical & LED Circuit Design

After you approve the quote, our engineers start designing your custom LED lens or led reflectors.

Think of it as drawing a road map for light.

We use powerful software to trace exactly how light travels through the lens.

We’ll give you IES files, brightness maps and efficiency reports-all for free.

The goal is simple: make every ray of light work perfectly with your LED.

If you also need a circuit board for your LEDs, we’ll design that for free too.

3. Product Evaluation & Precision Mold Making

Before we build an expensive steel mold, we make a quick prototype.

Think of it as a rough draft.

We often use 3D printing. You can test the sample in your lamp.

Once you’re happy, we start making the real mold.

Making a mold is like creating a high-precision stamp.

Once it’s ready, we can “stamp” out thousands of identical lenses. It takes many steps-but we’ve mastered them all.

3.1 Mold Design & Material Preparation

First, we prepare the mold’s blueprint and gather top-quality materials.

· Mold Design: We create a 3D plan, just like an architect’s drawing.

· Material Ordering: We choose high-grade mold steel. It’s the foundation-like strong bones for a building.

· Mold Base Ordering: We get a rigid base to hold everything firmly in place.

· Hardware Ordering: We order precision pins, springs and screws-the small parts that make the mold work smoothly.

· Cooling Channel Machining: We drill cooling channels into the mold. This lets it cool quickly during production, just like a radiator in a car.

3.2 Core Machining & Heat Treatment

Now the shaping begins. We start with the mold’s heart-the core and cavity.

· Core Roughing: We remove big chunks of steel. It’s like a sculptor cutting away large pieces of stone.

· Mold Base Machining: The mold base plates are machined to tight tolerances.

· Heat Treatment: We harden the steel through heating and cooling. This makes the mold last for years, not months.

· Precision Grinding: We grind surfaces until they are perfectly flat. This ensures every lens comes out exactly the same.

3.3 Precision Finishing & Surface Texturing

Next, we add the fine details. This is where craftsmanship meets technology.

· Finish Machining: High-speed CNC machines carve the final shape with hair-thin precision.

· Electrode Machining: We make a custom tool (an electrode) out of graphite or copper. It’s like making a key that will cut exact shapes into the steel.

· Core EDM: Using the electrode, we create sharp corners and deep details with electric sparks-like a high-tech chisel.

· Wire EDM: A thin wire cuts precise slots and holes. Think of it as a super-accurate saw.

· Insert Pins & Ejector Sleeves: We fit tiny pins and sleeves that will push the finished lens out of the mold gently.

· Texture Etching: We can give the lens surface a special finish-smooth, matte, or a fine grain. You choose.

· Core Polishing: Finally, we polish the core to a mirror finish. This gives your lens crystal-clear transparency.

3.4 Mold Assembly

Every part is now checked.

Then an experienced fitter assembles the mold.

All the pieces click together like a carefully built puzzle.

The parting line, guides and ejection system are aligned perfectly.

The mold is ready for its first test.

4. Mold Try, Inspection & Sample Delivery

The mold goes straight onto our injection machine.

We use the same optical-grade PC or PMMA that you’ll get in mass production.

The first samples come out.

We call this the “mold try.”

Each sample is carefully inspected.

We test the light pattern, beam angle and brightness. We measure the size inside and out. We check for any tiny flaw.

Then we send you a full report and the samples themselves.

You test them in your own light fixture. If you need any tweaks, just tell us. We’ll adjust and try again. We don’t stop until you are 100% satisfied.

Once you approve the samples, we shift into production mode.

Injection molding, coating, assembly-we do it all in-house. This keeps the timeline tightly under control.
